Play Money

Something that really improved the game experience was the addition of paper money. It's simple, intuitive, helped to cement the game's character. There's really almost nothing to write on the matter; I know that you get it.

These were all created in imitation of real currencies and notes, though obviously historical accuracy takes a backseat here to fun.
The game before this had used sliders to track budgets, and while players responded well to them, they also would forget to move the slider, or in some cases get confused by it. The money distills existing mechanics into a tangible object that seemed to raise intuitiveness and enjoyablility for test players.
